Hello and Welcome!

A local volunteer group called Friends of Bus Transit (FoBus) has been formed to track how WMATA’s “Better Bus” reconfiguration of Metrobus services is working in neighborhoods including our ANC area and gather recommendations for improvements.

At its September meeting, ANC 3A presented a draft version of its FY 2026 budget. The Commission invites comments in the lead-up to a vote that is anticipated to take place at the October meeting. The draft budget can be found here.

In June 2024, Sidwell Friends began work to renovate the Upton Street building, once the Washington Home & Community Hospices nursing home, into a new Upper School for grades 9-12.
